Change a child's life

Helping to prepare children for the end of sponsorship is a critical piece of Hope for Children’s mission. In 2009, Hope for Children-US began awarding vocational scholarships to older youth who were interested in pursuing training that could help them find jobs. Over the past year, our scholarship program has been expanded to offer support to students who are attending university or university preparatory school and to give a limited number of private school scholarships to youth who have worked particularly hard at their studies. Thus far, scholarships have been awarded to 39 Youth Center students, with training running the gamut from accounting to hotel management to lab technician to taxi driving.
